Christina Rowsell featured Sound Wellness on her blog The Brighter Side YYC on March 13. When Ed and I met with her and she described what she and Sheri Bruneau were doing with Brighter Business Empower, I knew I had to share this with you.
Having a great idea is one thing – but creating a sustainable business with that idea is a huge learning curve!
Many of our readers are entrepreneurs with small businesses. When Christina described her purpose in creating Better Business Empower as being a cheerleader for small businesses, I was completely won over!
You may have heard Christina on KiSS 95.9.
Christina Rowsell is a recognized broadcast professional, having been on Calgary airwaves for over 19 years. From flying over the city to report traffic, co-hosting mornings, working in the promotions department, hosting locally produced TV, to producing and hosting a syndicated show across Canada. Christina is currently the midday host on KiSS 95.9
But along the way, Christina has always known that she can do so much more than just host a radio show.
Christina is also the Vice President of Brighter Business Empower Inc. and the blogger behind The Brighter Side YYC. The blog place where people can go to find Good News, Great Ideas & Amazing People.
Christina has come across people who have great ideas, but needed a little guidance on how to get the word out about their ideas, or how to move their ideas and companies to the next level. This is when she teamed up with Sheri Bruneau from Get It Together Inc
The two of them found the need to have something for small business, men and women, that will empower individuals to succeed in business. THE REASON BRIGHTER BUSINESS EMPOWER WAS DEVELOPED
When individuals begin a company, that company is typically driven by passion. Passion is a great foundation to start a company, but it does not give business owners the tools to make it a viable business. In addition, many of these business owners either do not have the financial opportunity and/or the time to go to school to learn how to run their business while running their business. When individuals start their business, they are the accounting department, the sales department, the advertising department…they are it all! Brighter Business Empower offers opportunities for small business owners: a chance to network with other business owners who are most likely in the same position as they are, and a chance to learn.
We believe education is the most powerful tool a business owner can have. When you have that knowledge, then you can make those educated decisions that will be best for your company.

Let’s take a look at the software that handles stress or relaxation. The autonomic nervous system has 2 divisions that work like a teeter-totter. One division takes control, and the other yields. And then the other takes control.
Perceptions are most often formed in our childhood, and often before age 6. They are like sunglasses that filter our responses based on our experiences, and largely on messages from those we trust, including who we trust. When faced with a situation, our stored memories, and our interpretations of them are the foundation of our perceptions. It is important to note that not all of our perceptions serve us. A memory of a dog chasing you as a child make place a fear of dogs in your memories, yet it may be that the dog simply wanted to play. 
In 1998, Robert F Furchgott, Louis J Ingnarro, and Ferid Murad won the Nobel Prize in Medicine for the discovery that our cells puff and release nitric oxide. Nitric oxide, is a gas that acts as a signalling molecule in the body. Since its discovery, the U.S. government and the pharmaceutical medical complex have spent hundreds of million of dollars investigating this gas. As a result, medications are now widely available to support cardiovascular disease, and others.
