The World Health Organization has called stress the “health epidemic of the 21st century.” And the U.S. Center for Disease Control has reported that more than half of all deaths, of those under 65, are because of stress.

Over ¼ of Canadian workers report their jobs as very stressful, and another ½ of Canadian workers report their job as somewhat stressful.

The direct cost of stress to the US economy is $300B.

In Canada that cost is about $20B, and is responsible for 75% of all disability claims.
