How do we navigate through a changed world filled with stress, anxiety, worry and uncertainty? One of the most essential tools to bring to your aid is to create coherence between your heart and your brain.the heart-brain connection This is the foundation for creating harmony in all your body, mind, emotional and spiritual systems.

The Collins English Dictionary defines Coherence as

Coherence is a state or situation in which all the parts or ideas fit together well so that they form a united whole. 

Coherence in a human being begins with the heart-brain connection. Not the brain-heart connection. The heart-brain connection.

Numerous recent studies in neuroscience and cardiac neuroscience have found that there is more information travelling from your heart to your brain than there is from the brain to your heart.

We have it all backwards! We are all taught from an early age to focus on the brain and cognitive functions – learning, thinking, pros, cons and on and on. We expect the brain to manage our daily lives. To make decisions – sometimes really important decisions.

But your brain is not built to manage your life and all of its complexities! Your heart is. Your brain’s function is to support your heart.

Recent experiments in heart-brain coherence show clearly how when the heart and the brain resonate to the same frequency (0.1 Hz), everything functions better.

  • Your nervous system goes into harmony bringing all other body systems into harmony and healthy, normal function.
  • Your mind is clearer, allowing you to focus with ease.
  • Your emotions become manageable and calm.
  • And you find it easier to create an inner spiritual connection.
