Healing Sound is a wonderful complement to the Healing Touch session.

If you are a Healing Touch practitioner who is open to integrating other modalities to enhance client results, you’ll love what sound healing can offer you, your clients and your business.

Humanity’s first healers were sound and touch. Why do I say that?

Since the dawn of humanity’s time on this planet, sound and touch have been used together in innumerable ways. All over the planet, ancient cultures have considered the use of vowel sounds to be sacred and have used them in a variety of ways for healing. Instruments like the drum and rattle also go back to our origins as healing tools.

Sound is Vibrational Energy

It is now common knowledge that everything at the quantum level is in vibration. Sound is defined as VIBRATIONAL ENERGY. It is energy that affects how matter itself vibrates. Because sound is a physical energy – that is, it has to push against atoms and molecules just to move – with thought and intention, it has the ability to restructure matter. Sound travels through you faster than it goes through the air.

Radio DialSound is also a carrier wave for your thought and intention. It’s like the FM station you turn your dial to, for example 102FM, when you want to listen to the radio. All of the music, news, commercials and so on, piggyback on this main frequency wave of 102FM. When you are tuned in to 102FM then you receive all the music, news, commercials and so on carried by that frequency.

One of the simplest and most profound ways to integrate sound in a Healing Touch session is to use the voice, in particular the vowel sounds.  If the vowel sounds are done in a singing voice this is called ‘toning.’

Toning: The Natural Voice of the Body

Toning uses the natural voice of the body – like ahhhh, oooo, ohhh, moans and groans and all those other sounds we make without even thinking about it. They also stimulate the brain to release endorphins that help the body heal or manage pain.

The purpose of toning is to reset the body’s (and whole being’s) vibrations to its natural harmonic patterns. This stimulates the natural healing response of the body and the whole being.

As you know, your intention (and your client’s if appropriate) is an essential ingredient in this process.

As you set your intentions and begin to work with your client, explore adding toning.  The sound of your voice delivers your intentions deeply into your client. As the sound moves through him or her it rearranges their atoms and molecules into more harmonic patterns. Remember, sound is a physical energy. It also works at all levels as does healing touch.

Using sound and healing touch together is like singing a song with a microphone. Using the microphone will send the sound (that is, the effect of your treatment) farther and deeper.
