Human beings are brilliant creators! When you learn how to create consciously and co-creatively with the universe (God, Goddess, creator, etc), you align with your divine purpose. Those seeds of creation manifest in powerful ways to be of service to humanity and our beautiful planet.

The ThinkerWhen you are involved in the process of co-creation, you move through 3 stages:

  1. Thought
  2. Voice
  3. Action

Every musical track or book I have created, started as an idea or an inspiration. For a musical track, there would be thoughts about a title. Or I would start to hear the sounds in my inner ears. Or the purpose for the track would be the beginning inspiration. For my book, there are thoughts about the title, the stories, the content, the structure, the energy. All these thoughts bring more clarity about what I am creating.

As more clarity develops, I will often share my ideas with Ed, my husband, or a friend. Speaking my ideas out loud, seems to make them more real. It gives the ideas more energy and the musical track or book moves closer to the actual book or CD that I hold in my hands.

Holding that book or CD in my hands is one of the most rewarding experiences ever! To actually hold in my hands what started as a spark of inspiration fills my heart with gratitude and awe.

One of the gifts the new year brings is contemplation of how far you have come in the previous year. What creations do you hold in your hands or see in people around you? What creations are still in process? I have at least three intentions from 2022 that are still ‘in process’ of becoming real. Some things have their own timeline.

Contemplating the previous year also brings more clarity about my intentions for the new year. If you are in business, you may be creating goals or intentions for 2023 also.

For Sound Wellness, Ed and I go through last year’s business plan to celebrate what we accomplished. (Celebration is essential!!!) And we discuss what is still in process and what our new intentions are for the year – personally and for the business.

This is thought and voice finding its way onto our 1-page business plan that we keep taped to our fridge all year. Keeping our business plan on the fridge keeps our thoughts and intentions in front of us.

For each goal and intention, business and personal, I have a special ritual that I do as every New Year rolls around.

seeds for growthI have a little bag of popcorn seeds* that have been energized with the high vibrations of my singing bowls and a special space on an altar. Here is an outline of the steps of the ritual if you would like to do this for yourself.

* If you use popcorn, the seeds should be unflavoured, uncooked, and not boiled. Otherwise, they are not able to grow.

Seeds of Intention Ritual

  1. Have a list of intentions for the new year that you plan to co-create for the coming year.
  2. Gather enough seeds to have one seed per intention on your list. The seeds can be vegetable, flower, fruit seeds. Anything that will grow into a plant.
  3. Create sacred space:
    1. Light a candle
    2. Sing 3 oms
    3. Open the directions
    4. Say a special prayer
    5. Any other way you use to create sacred space
  4. Hold your seeds in your hand(s) and blow on them gently 3 times with the intention to clear them. This prepares your seeds to hold the energy of your intentions.
  5. Choose 1 intention on your list and 1 seed.
  6. Hold the seed in front of your heart as you feel gratitude in your heart for this intention completed.
  7. Now gently blow on your seed imagining that you are blowing the essence of your intention into the seed. Do this as many times as you feel you need until your seed feels ‘full’ with the energy of your intention.
  8. Repeat #5 to #7 with each intention and seed.
  9. What to do with your seeds following the ritual:
    1. Plant your seeds allowing your intentions to physically grow with the seed.
    2. Place your seeds on a special altar to honour their energy.
    3. Eat your seeds (if edible) to bring their energy into your physical body.
    4. Follow your intuition for what feels intuitively right to you.
  10. Gratitude for ‘it is done’.

I have been doing this ritual for many years and my seeds have bloomed into many co-creations that have filled my heart with gratitude and awe.

I wish you much gratitude and awe as you co-create your brilliant 2023!

In Health and Harmony,
